AWS has announced the availability of ECS Optimized Windows Server 2025 AMIs, offering two platform variants: 2025-Core and 2025-Full for Windows container deployments on Amazon ECS.
- Optimized for improved container performance and resource utilization
- Enhanced security with better container isolation and kernel boundaries
- Advanced networking capabilities for faster container communication
- Available across Public, AWS GovCloud (US), and China Regions
- Can be launched from EC2 Console, API, or CLI commands
These AMIs are designed to streamline Windows container deployments with built-in optimizations and advanced features of Windows Server 2025.
