AWS DataSync now supports IPv6

AWS DataSync has added support for IPv6, expanding its data transfer capabilities across network configurations.

  • Customers can now use DataSync to connect to storage resources with IPv6 addresses
  • Supports transfers to and from NFS, SMB, and Object Storage servers with IPv6
  • Offers dual-stack support for seamless transition between IPv4 and IPv6 networks
  • Available in all AWS Regions where DataSync is currently supported
  • Enables more flexible and future-proof data transfer options

This update allows organizations to modernize their network infrastructure while maintaining efficient and secure data transfer capabilities.
