Amazon CloudWatch has added support for IPv6 addresses across its monitoring services, enabling customers to use dual-stack networking for metrics, alarms, dashboards, and cross-account observability.
- Supports both IPv4 and IPv6 clients on public endpoints
- Available in all commercial AWS Regions, AWS GovCloud, and China Regions
- Provides expanded address space to eliminate address exhaustion concerns
- Allows gradual transition from IPv4 to IPv6-based systems
- Requires updating network configuration and endpoint URLs
