News
Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling now allows direct integration of AWS Lambda functions as notification targets for lifecycle hooks, simplifying event-driven processing for Auto Scaling groups.
- Customers can now trigger Lambda functions directly during Auto Scaling lifecycle events
- Previously required intermediary services like EventBridge, SNS, or SQS
- Enables custom actions during instance wait states, such as downloading logs before termination
- Requires granting permissions to EC2 Auto Scaling using a Lambda resource-based policy
- Available in all AWS regions, including AWS GovCloud (US) Regions
