Amazon EventBridge now supports Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) through new dual-stack endpoints, enhancing connectivity options for event-driven architectures.

  • Supports IPv6, IPv4, and dual-stack clients across EventBridge services
  • Applies to Event Bus, Scheduler, Pipes, and schema registries
  • Available in all AWS Regions, including AWS GovCloud (US)
  • Existing IPv4 endpoints remain for backwards compatibility
  • Eliminates need for complex IP address translation infrastructure

This update allows users to future-proof their event-driven architectures while maintaining compatibility with existing IPv4 systems.
