AWS has released the Advanced Go Driver for Amazon RDS and Aurora PostgreSQL and MySQL-compatible database clusters, offering enhanced database connectivity features.
- Supports faster switchover and failover times
- Enables Federated Authentication
- Provides authentication via AWS Secrets Manager and IAM
- Wraps existing PostgreSQL and MySQL drivers for improved functionality
- Reduces writer failover times to single-digit seconds
- Available as an open-source project under Apache 2.0 license
The driver can be installed for Windows, Mac, and Linux, offering developers improved database connection management with AWS services.
