AWS has announced the general availability of the Advanced .NET Data Provider Driver for Amazon RDS and Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL and MySQL-compatible databases.
- Reduces RDS Blue/Green switchover and database failover times
- Supports multiple authentication mechanisms including Federated Authentication and AWS Secrets Manager
- Builds on top of existing PostgreSQL and MySQL drivers
- Natively integrated with Aurora and RDS databases
- Compatible with frameworks like NHibernate and Entity Framework
- Available as an open-source project under Apache 2.0 license
The driver enhances database connectivity and availability for .NET developers by providing faster failover and advanced authentication options.
