Best performance and fastest memory with the new Amazon EC2 R8i and R8i-flex instances

AWS has announced the general availability of the new Amazon EC2 R8i and R8i-flex instances, powered by custom Intel Xeon 6 processors with significant performance improvements:
- Up to 20% better performance compared to previous R7i instances
- 2.5 times higher memory throughput
- Up to 15% better price performance
- Scales up to 96xlarge with 384 vCPUs and 3TB memory
- Ideal for memory-intensive workloads like databases, in-memory caches, and big data analytics
R8i-flex instances offer additional cost savings, providing up to 5% better price performance at 5% lower prices for workloads that don't fully utilize compute resources. Both instance types are available in multiple AWS regions and use the latest AWS Nitro Cards for improved network performance.
