AWS Managed Microsoft AD now supports certificate auto-enrollment and authentication using AWS Private CA, introducing new capabilities for secure directory management:
- Automatic issuance, renewal, and management of certificates for domain controllers
- Supports LDAPS and Smart Card authentication
- Eliminates need to maintain certificate authorities on EC2 instances
- Utilizes AWS Private CA's highly available, HSM-backed infrastructure
- Available in all AWS Regions with AWS Private CA Connector for AD
This integration simplifies certificate management for Active Directory environments, reducing operational costs and enhancing security for directory-aware workloads on AWS.
