AWS Storage Gateway now supports IPv6, enabling dual-stack capabilities for gateway endpoints, APIs, and appliance interfaces.

  • Provides both IPv6 and IPv4 access to gateway endpoints
  • Maintains backwards compatibility with existing IPv4 infrastructure
  • Allows gradual transition from IPv4 to IPv6 networks
  • Available in all AWS Regions where the service is offered
  • Enables customers to standardize applications and workflows

This enhancement allows customers to modernize their networking infrastructure while maintaining existing IPv4 configurations, providing flexibility in network migration.
