Amazon Detective now supports AWS PrivateLink, allowing users to securely access Detective API services through private VPC endpoints without internet traversal.
- Available in all AWS Regions where Detective is supported
- Users can create VPC endpoints via VPC console, API, or SDK
- Creates an elastic network interface with a private IP address
- Provides a secure entry point for Detective traffic
Key features of Amazon Detective include:
- Automatically collects log data from AWS resources
- Uses machine learning and graph theory for security investigations
- Analyzes events from VPC Flow Logs, CloudTrail, EKS audit logs
- Groups related findings from GuardDuty, Security Hub, and Inspector
