Amazon EC2 Instance Connect Endpoint now supports IPv6 connectivity, offering enhanced networking capabilities for EC2 instances.

  • Customers can configure EIC Endpoints to be dual-stack or IPv6 only
  • Enables SSH and RDP connectivity without using public IP addresses
  • Supports connectivity to instances in private subnets using IPv6 addresses
  • Maintains backwards compatibility with IPv4 instances and subnets
  • Available in all AWS Commercial Regions, GovCloud (US), and China Regions

This update provides more flexible and secure networking options for accessing EC2 instances using IPv6 connectivity.
