Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling (ASG) now supports Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6), offering enhanced networking capabilities for cloud applications.
- Enables dual-stack configuration with both IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity
- Provides virtually unlimited IP address scaling for applications
- Allows assignment of contiguous IP ranges to microservices
- Supports gradual transition from IPv4 to IPv6
- Available in most commercial AWS regions and GovCloud regions
This update helps customers overcome IPv4 address limitations and provides more flexible networking options for cloud infrastructure.
