Amazon S3 Express One Zone now supports IPv6 addressing for gateway Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) endpoints, enhancing networking capabilities for high-performance storage.

  • Enables access to S3 Express One Zone data over IPv6 or DualStack VPC endpoints
  • Supports organizations adopting IPv6 to address network address exhaustion
  • No additional infrastructure needed for IPv6 to IPv4 address translation
  • Available in all AWS Regions with S3 Express One Zone at no extra cost
  • Configurable through AWS Management Console, CLI, SDK, and CloudFormation

This update provides more flexible networking options for organizations using S3 Express One Zone, particularly those transitioning to or requiring IPv6 support.
