Amazon CloudWatch now allows you to create alarms directly on log data using log queries, streamlining anomaly detection without leaving your log analysis workflow.
- Configure alarms on log queries with thresholds directly, eliminating need for metric filters or custom metrics
- Write queries to count error rates by service and receive alarm notifications when thresholds are exceeded
- Supports all standard CloudWatch Alarm actions including SNS notifications and EventBridge integrations
- Available in all commercial AWS Regions except Middle East (UAE) and Middle East (Bahrain)
- Accessible via CloudWatch console, AWS CLI, CloudFormation, and AWS SDKs
