Updates to your AWS Sign-In experience
Security Blog
AWS is gradually introducing updates to the AWS Sign-In and sign-up experience, including new account creation and access options with a redesigned sign-in page and refreshed session selection interface.
- Unified email entry point for root users and new email-based sign-in method
- IAM users continue signing in with account ID/alias, username, and password
- Support for identity provider sign-in (Google, GitHub, Apple, Amazon.com)
- Redesigned session selection page to manage multiple active account and role sessions
- Existing customers continue using current sign-in methods and credentials
- Organizations using IAM Identity Center or federation experience no changes
- Browser automation and scripted workflows may need review for compatibility
The updated experience maintains backward compatibility while providing a more modern interface for AWS account access and session management.
