AWS announces a new Availability Zone in the Europe (London) Region

Regional Expansion



AWS has added a fourth Availability Zone to the Europe (London) Region (eu-west-2), expanding infrastructure capacity and AI/ML capabilities.

  • New Availability Zone (eu-west-2d) provides next-generation AI and ML capacity with EC2, Trn3, and P6 accelerated instances
  • Customers can now distribute applications across four Availability Zones for improved fault tolerance and high availability
  • AI and ML teams can run model training and inference workloads on latest accelerated instances within London Region
  • Accessible through AWS Management Console, APIs, and existing workflows with no tooling changes
  • Standard Europe (London) Region pricing applies

The expansion enhances fault isolation and enables resilient architectures for AWS customers in the London Region.
