Amazon Connect Customer now lets you set specific capacity limits for different types of Tasks and Emails

News

Amazon Connect Customer now enables contact center managers to set specific capacity limits for different types of Tasks and Emails based on workload complexity and priority.

  • Classify Task and Email contacts into workload types with individual concurrency rules
  • Configure agents to handle multiple simple tasks concurrently while limiting complex tasks to fewer simultaneous contacts
  • Previously, concurrency settings applied uniformly at the channel level regardless of contact complexity
  • Available in all AWS commercial and AWS GovCloud (US-West) regions

This enhancement provides granular control over agent capacity allocation, allowing managers to optimize resource utilization based on task complexity and business requirements.
