AWS Elastic Beanstalk introduces Cluster Mode
AWS News Blog
AWS Elastic Beanstalk introduces Cluster Mode, enabling teams to deploy and manage multiple applications on shared Amazon EKS infrastructure with full AWS operational responsibility.
- Deploy source code in Java, .NET, Python, Node.js, PHP, Ruby, or Go without Dockerfiles or rearchitecting
- Multiple applications share infrastructure, reducing per-application costs as portfolio grows
- Enterprise compliance built-in: HIPAA eligible, PCI DSS compliant, SOC 1/2/3 aligned
- Production-grade deployment strategies including traffic-splitting, automatic rollback, and event-driven autoscaling
- AI-powered troubleshooting with service-side log analysis and automated recommendations
- OpenTelemetry-based observability, AWS Secrets Manager integration, and HTTPS by default
- Standard Mode continues supporting single applications, Windows/.NET, and non-containerizable workloads
Cluster Mode is generally available in all AWS regions with no additional Elastic Beanstalk charges; customers pay only for underlying AWS resources consumed.
