Customer Carbon Footprint Tool has new features and an updated methodology

AWS has updated the Customer Carbon Footprint Tool (CCFT) with three significant enhancements:
- Export monthly carbon emissions data through AWS Billing and Cost Management Data Exports
- View carbon emissions broken down by AWS Region
- Updated methodology (v2.0) with independently verified tracking standards
The new methodology aligns with globally recognized standards such as:
- GHG Protocol Corporate Standard
- GHG Protocol Product Standard
- ISO 14040/44 (LCA)
- ISO 14067
- ICT Sector Guidance
The tool helps customers understand and measure their carbon emissions from AWS services through easy-to-understand data visualizations.
