Amazon Connect now supports audio optimization for agents using Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365 Cloud PC virtual environments.

  • Agents can take calls directly from virtual desktop sessions with optimized audio quality
  • IT administrators complete one-time setup to enable media redirection to local devices
  • Works with Amazon Connect Customer agent workspace and custom interfaces built with open-source JavaScript libraries
  • Complements existing audio optimization for Amazon WorkSpaces, Citrix, and Omnissa cloud desktops
  • Available in all AWS Regions where Amazon Connect is offered, except GovCloud (US-West)

This enhancement improves call quality for remote agents by redirecting media streams from virtual desktops to their local devices.
