AWS Lambda now publishes logs for Lambda Managed Instances capacity providers to Amazon CloudWatch Logs, providing visibility into scaling activity and instance lifecycle operations.
- Capacity provider logs capture instance lifecycle events like launches, terminations, and health checks in structured JSON format
- Enables monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of managed EC2 instances
- Logs are enabled by default for all capacity providers across AWS Commercial Regions
- Use CloudWatch Logs filtering to identify failed operations and provisioning errors quickly
- Configure logs via Lambda console, API, CLI, SAM, or CloudFormation
This feature helps customers running high-volume workloads on LMI diagnose provisioning issues and optimize scaling behavior with reduced debugging time.
